raumplus, from the very private to the centre of attention, from events and awards to exciting news about this and that, we present all this to you here in our "Raumnews". In this section you can read about what's happening in Bremen, what inspires and moves us.
Welcome to raumplus!
What an anniversary month! In May, we had the pleasure of congratulating Nicole K., Katrin B. and Niels K. on a proud 25 years at raumplus. With their outstanding dedication, valuable expertise and reliability, they have played a key role in shaping and enriching raumplus over the last decades.
Such loyalty deserves to be celebrated: in a festive gathering, we looked back over the past years and toasted to our shared milestones. The management and department heads personally thanked the three of them and, in addition to the certificates, presented them with a few gifts as a token of our appreciation.
Dear Nicole, dear Katrin, dear Niels – thank you very much for your daily dedication! We look forward to the next years together with you at raumplus.
Together with a delegation of other German furniture manufacturers, our Managing Director Christian Grundler and Export Manager Marc Reimer travelled to Chicago and New York last week. With the aim of gaining an even better understanding of the world’s second-largest furniture market and building strategic bridges for the future of raumplus, they took part in an extensive programme of events.
A market of this scale operates according to its own rules. This became clear time and again during the presentations and discussions. The insights gained from the panel talks were confirmed by one-to-one meetings with potential partners, and visits to various local showrooms rounded off the picture.
Furthermore, the exchange of experiences and networking within the German delegation also yielded valuable new insights and contacts.
On Friday, Managing Director Carsten D. Bergmann bid farewell as he entered his well-deserved retirement with a lunch for the entire workforce. For more than three decades, he has played a key role in driving forward and shaping the development of raumplus in a sustainable way through his dedication, market expertise and consistent commitment to partnership.
The entire raumplus team would like to thank Carsten D. Bergmann very much for his pioneering work and wishes him all the very best for the next chapter of his life.
From 1 to 4 March, we were present at the kbb in Birmingham – and can look back on a thoroughly successful trade fair.
Visitor numbers and the volume of enquiries remained at the high levels seen at the last kbb in 2024 – underscoring the trade fair’s continued relevance.
There was particular interest in our new modular wardrobe system, miio. Visitors were enthusiastic about the flexible design options and the modern concept, which was reflected in numerous in-depth discussions and promising contacts.
It was also striking that only a few suppliers in the bedroom and sliding door sector were represented at the event. This meant we were able to stand out all the more with our presentation: our stand attracted a great deal of attention and was highlighted by many visitors as one of the most attractive at the entire fair.
Our success story began in Bremen in the mid-1980s as a small, specialised company for aluminium profile systems. Founder Jürgen Guddas developed the profile systems specifically for sliding doors, thereby laying the foundation for raumplus. This was followed by expansion into numerous export markets, an enlargement of the company headquarters, the addition of numerous room solutions, profiles and fittings to the product range, and a generational change in management.
In 2026, we are celebrating four decades of success, strong partnerships and an impressively wide range of products for every dream home. With around 160 employees, we work every day to ensure that customers in about 70 countries worldwide can fulfil their interior dreams.
