raumplus is a brand as it is in the book - soon also in the literal sense. As one of about 100 selected companies, we will be featured in the 2021 #whatcounts. The Major German brands will be represented. This compendium is published annually by the German Design Council (Rat für Formgebung) and presents renowned German producers in a detailed, two-page report on brand and design. The publication in German and English reaches its brand-oriented target group on the national market via the participating companies and cooperation partners; internationally, it has a high-calibre circulation via 227 German embassies and consulates all over the world. We are pleased to be able to represent quality Made in Germany as a family business in the circle of renowned brands. Hot off the press #whatcounts. The Major German brands 2021 at a Design Gala on September 24, 2020 in the Soho House Berlin, at which raumplus will of course also be represented: between two noble book covers and, if the current situation allows it, also in person.

For the fourth time, the readers of »Wohnidee« have awarded raumplus with the public award of the living magazine, which is voted for annually. In seven furniture categories from beds to upholstery to lighting, over 18,500 readers voted for their personal favourites. Their votes earned us first place in the »Wohnidee-Leseraward 2019« in the »Wardrobes« category. Our walk-in wardrobe combination of tinted float glass sliding doors from the S1200 Air series and the matching Uno and Legno interior systems was also extremely well received. After 2017, raumplus was again awarded the prize at the IMM Cologne. We would like to thank you for the »excellent« choice and will be happy to receive the readers' comments again this year, with our current range of products.

The judges of the German Design Award 2020 rate our Slim Line Swing Door as »prize-winning« – literally. The Frankfurt-based German Design Council has awarded it first prize in the »Excellent Product Design – Buildings and Elements« category. The door won over the jury with its optional second leaf, that can be used for large openings and closed or opened as required. The design of the panels, framed using delicate aluminum profiles that can be symmetrically or asymmetrically structured using glued-on rails, was also rated a winner. We are pleased to be able to continue the series of raumplus German Design Award prizes into the current year – and feel honored all down the »Slim Line«.

With our innovative Sliding TV Door, we have apparently brought good design to the point - because it has now won the Red Dot Award 2019 for outstanding product design in one of the world's largest design competitions. In the evaluation process, the jury attaches particular importance to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality, formal quality, durability and ergonomics. The winners were selected from over 5500 submitted products and we are very proud that our newest highlight is one of them.

raumplus and its excellent brand work have been honored with a second German Brand Award following the first in 2017. This year the expert jury focused on the overall exhibition concept for the IMM 2019. We used the new location in Hall 11.3. to create an entire realistic floorplan behind a wooden façade that showed its comprehensive competence. And proving that we are truly a master of interior design.

The prize-giving ceremony was held on 6 June in Berlin and we are proud to once again not only be an award winner but also among the ranks of prestigious brands »Made in Germany«.

There's a party! Following a beautiful raumplus tradition, numerous employees and their families gathered at the raumplus site in Bremen at the end of June to celebrate a big summer party together. In a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere there was plenty of time for encounters, games, fun and dancing. Salads, antipasti and delicacies from the grill rounded off the beautiful afternoon. We are already looking forward to the next party!

From 14. - 20. January raumplus showed at the IMM international furniture and interiors fair in Cologne/Germany the new products we have come up with for the 2019 interior design year. In addition to absolute highlights such as the “Sliding TV Door” and the first bed “made by raumplus”, a wide range of product add-ons and an exciting prototype made a visit to our new booth location T040 U041 in Hall 11.3. well worthwhile. Hot contenders include the innovative option to integrate a smart TV into sliding doors with glass or wood panels and configure them as a “Sliding TV Door”. The response to the new Legno addition, the first raumplus bed, has been very favorable. Available in four widths and with various head board options, the bed allows Legno to be used to furnish an entire bedroom. Other new products in the Legno series include angled shelves. The interior system prototype for an innovative panel solution opens up a whole new world of design alternatives. Wall-hung modules require no side walls; shelves and carcasses are hung on the back wall. Visual stimulation comes from the Uno interior system with its angled shelves that make for a lighter look. We also have a new color for the system’s profiles and accessories – Black Anodized, for on-trend, contemporary interior design options. To further expand these design options, we have added a Black Anodized profile to the RPS aluminum-frame door system. In addition to this, RPS doors can now be supplied with wood panels. There is also a new color option for the S720 sliding door system – Inox Brushed, available for top and bottom tracks, dividing rails, and wall connectors. raumplus design can be applied to even the smallest details thanks to a new 12mm dividing rail that can be glued vertically or horizontally to sliding doors, room doors, and room dividing systems for more structure. Color options are Silver, Light or Dark Bronze, White, Black Matt, or Black Anodized.

From September 6 through 8, 2018 raumplus invited its international customers to Bremen to attend the 12th Export Meeting. Over 100 participants from some 35 countries around the world accepted the invitation under the motto »raumplus in a different way«.

The Meeting commenced on Thursday evening with a relaxed get-together at the »Havanna Lounge«. Friday was, as usual, devoted to providing information, with lectures on new aspects of the product range and marketing as well as customers’ presentations on their own experiences on the various markets. In the evening everyone went to dinner at the »Vai Vai« restaurant in the Überseestadt neighborhood, before focusing on the social side of the event. Some attendees made use of the opportunity to dance off the calories gained during the wonderful meal. Saturday morning’s itinerary was also about exercise – a walking tour around the historic down-town area was followed by a hike through the Bürgerpark to the Waldbühne open-air concert venue with the participants enjoying a BBQ meal before returning to the starting point. The attendees at the 12th raumplus Export Meeting also took advantage of the chance to do some networking, with many commenting on how the hosts and their large team made everyone feel like members of a one big family. »That makes the difference« was the general feeling of our international guests, who are already looking forward to their next trip to Bremen in 2020.
