Climate Protection Certificate

The greatest possible degree of product protection while putting the least possible strain on the environment – this is our mission when it comes to packaging. That this strategy is producing results has now been confirmed by Interseroh GmbH, the company that recycles our transport packaging for us.
Based on an in-depth study by the prestigious Fraunhofer UMSICHT Institute on the reduction of greenhouse gases Inteseroh has established that our recycling efforts last year resulted in a 26,647.80 kilogram reduction in greenhouses gases. This is equivalent to the average CO2 emissions of a car driving 180,000 kilometers. The raw materials that we have recycled join what is known as the materials flow, thus not only avoiding unnecessary CO2 emissions but also saving an additional almost 36,000 kg of resources. We view the corresponding “2012 Climate Protection Certificate” that has been issued to us as both a confirmation of our activities in this field and a motivation to continue and expand them. We invite all our partners and business contacts to join us in these efforts.

Just listen to the music

You can’t see anything but there’s a lot to hear. No matter whether you need the right sound for a pajama party or soft background music to chill out in your living room – Turn can deliver. Our flexible closet newcomer, available as a stand-alone piece of furniture or for custom fitting in an alcove, can be supplied with an optional, innovative audio system. Ultra-flat DML loudspeakers are integrated into the hinged doors, with and a subwoofer with amplifier is located in the center of the closet. Thanks to their 180° x 180° angle of radiation the speakers provide consistently great resonance, no matter where the listener is standing. The subwoofer works off a mains socket and can be controlled using the jack plugs or wirelessly via Bluetooth. So in addition to its many other assets, Turn also scores points as a cutting-edge piece of media furniture providing great acoustics – and all without the owner having to make visual compromises. The same goes for our sliding doors, which can also be fitted with the same high fidelity sound system. A great sounding convenience feature that is all part of the program at raumplus.

Under Pressure

If you want to succeed in your everyday life, you need to be able to stand up to pressure. When it comes to our doors and systems, we want to be able to guarantee this to you, so we regularly put our products to the test. Or you could say – we put our products under pressure. Sample constructions and functional endurance tests; load and comparative testing – they must continually prove their functionality, quality and durability. Here at raumplus we even test how vandal-proof they are. The result? Over the last three years the technical department alone has carried out some 1.25 million test cycles and our sliding doors have covered a distance of just under 2,500 km on the test bench. This was supplemented by additional quality tests. We consciously subject our systems to everything we can think of because if they pass our tests we can happily allow them to leave the plant to undergo the daily wear and tear that makes up the daily life of a piece of furniture. Because they will then have proven that they are great, even when under pressure.

Mix & Match

Variable sliding door or fixed dividing wall? At raumplus this is not an either-or decision because both options can be combined to create a whole that is both creative and harmonious. Or as the dividing line between kitchen and dining room with sliding doors that opened when the cooking is finished while keeping the preparation area permanently hidden behind dividing walls or to structure an attic space with static walls under the eaves and sliding doors in the taller center of the room – there are numerous options to achieve a perfect Mix & Match of systems. So get mixing!
