Nane-Sophie Bergmann

She was born with a feel for shape and has gone on to make it her career. In our anniversary year 2016, Nane-Sophie, the daughter of Uta and Carsten Bergmann, designed an absolute highlight – the S1200 LED-lit sliding door. When doing so, the industrial designer took advantage of the possibilities offered by LED technology to adjust the illuminated sliding door’s color over the course of the day to match human biorhythms and thus increase users’ feeling of well-being. Nane’s take on design is not limited to form and function but also integrates ‘social skills’ into the design process, with her products aiming to fulfil human needs and wishes. Successfully, as proven in 2016, when her “Country Boy” chair won a Top Ten spot in the “We Love Design Award”, initiated by TV station ProSieben; furniture store stilwerk; and InStyle magazine. The graduate industrial designer is continuing to follow her vision, currently studying for a Master’s in “Social Design” at the prestigious Design Academy Eindhoven. We look forward to seeing what new pieces she comes up with.

Ulli Finkeldey
Kai Uetrecht

With their company Nexus Product Design the designer Ulli Finkeldey and Kai Uetrecht developed with their team since 1986 design strategies for national and international brands and  design trend independent products, which convey sense instead to promise illusions.
For raumplus they developed 2014 the furniture system Ligran. It satisfies the wish for stand-alone, mobile modular furniture for modern, urban architecture. With formats ranging from short and compact through long and slim. Depending on their dimensions, be mounted on the wall or placed on socket s, foot stands or furniture feet. Thanks to their pared-back look these timeless, modern basics can be integrated into any interior – from living rooms through dining and entrance areas to bedrooms and dressing rooms.
The materials, colors, and surfaces have been designed to coordinate with raumplus systems and, in addition to offering attractive solitaire pieces, Ligran also provides versatile options for combining items to match interior designs. Intelligent & contemporary.
